Our Programs in the US and Haiti Based On Needs Our Success The Haitian Consortium's programs address issues affecting poor and oppressed people within the Haitian Diaspora and Haiti. The Haitian Consortium takes action against underemployment, hunger, AIDS, unemployment, homelessness, illiteracy, racial tensions, and housing. The needs range from: English as a Second Language; High School Equivalency; Vocational Training; HIV/AIDS Education/Prevention/Counseling; Pastoral Training; Drug/Alcohol Education and Prevention; Prison Outreach; After-School programs; Youth tutoring assistance; Emergency shelters; Scholarship Search; Disaster Relief Assistance; and, Community Development programs. These programs are based on ongoing research and surveys conducted by a network of scholars and policy-makers to determine the specific needs of those we serve. Community Program in the United States
