Planning for Investment in Alternative Energy in Haiti

Solar Power Systems: Solar power is produced by collecting sunlight and converting it into electricity. This is done by using solar panels, which are large flat panels made up of many individual solar cells. It is most often used in remote locations, although it is becoming more popular in urban areas as well. Solar power is really one of the main solutions to all Haiti’s energy problems and will achieve high levels of efficiency.

Flexible Solar Panels: Amorphous Type: Flexible solar panels are possible one of the most advanced solar technology devices that have been discovered in the most recent years. Such PV panels permit your system to stay stronger, more durable and unyielding particularly in bad weather conditions.

Grid Solar Screens Panel : Like the solar power panels and other sun-powered gadgets and devices, the solar screens will provide Haiti with a wealth of benefits that will surely make life and everyday living much easier and more convenient. The major benefits of solar screens are the following:

  1. It requires much lower cost in energy.

  2. Sun’s UV rays and heat are prevented from penetrating your homes so you can.

  3. Enjoy cooler rooms and other indoor areas despite the hot tropical climate.

  4. You are able to enjoy full, clear view.

  5. Solar screens are effective in preventing insects from coming in.

  6. Solar screens efficiently block most of the heat coming from the sun.

Mini Solar Panels: If you are wondering whether there are smaller versions of residential solar panels that can run the smaller gadgets that litter our homes – definitely there are. Some are actually found in tiny devices that you do not notice they are being run by mini solar panels.

Every curious mind will try using the small solar panel to run a newly created gadget such as a toy car or a tiny TV. Why use the conventional power from the electricity when you can try using solar power instead.

2.      Win Power Systems: Wind is one source of energy that is prevalent in Haiti. Because of this fact harnessing wind energy makes sense for Haitian cities, households and businesses.  Like solar power, power production from wind is an alternative to coal, oil, and nuclear sources due to the following:

  • It is a renewable and infinite resource.

  • It is free of any emissions, including carbon dioxide (greenhouse gas).

  • It is a free resource after capital cost of installation (excluding maintenance).

Energy production with wind power prevents significant water usage associated with coal, nuclear and combined cycle sources.
