Internship

The Haitian Consortium has developed tools and services to assist students, schools, universities, educators to better optimize opportunities for introducing students to the world of work through paid and unpaid internships. The Consortium offers a variety of internship opportunities to High School students, college students, graduates, post graduates and scholars.

Our current interns are majoring in: Haitian & Caribbean Affairs, Languages, Economics, Business, Education, Political Science, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Nutrition, and Computer Science.

 Through our internship program participants;

• gain new perspective on the importance of learning and further study;
• gain the opportunity to practice communication skills;
• gain technical knowledge;
• develop a network of relationships with people outside of school and home; and,
• provide valuable work experiences that increase job opportunities after graduation.

Interns also participate in interactive, facilitated sessions on corporate and nonprofit environments, interview skills, and conflict resolution.

Your Support Helps Meet The Challenge

At the Haitian Consortium, we are proud about how we handle the funds entrusted to us.  For administration and overhead, we spend only nineteen cents of each dollar received.  The rest of our income - eighty one cents on every dollar - is spent on programs -- the purpose for which funds are, after all, given to us.  Contributions are received and recorded according to donors’ restriction or for unrestricted purposes.
